Hawthorne
master retreat
About the project
The Master retreat was a new extension adding space for the WIR and ensuite.
Antico Oak cabinetry was used in both the bedroom, walk in robe and ensuite with Quartzite natural stone benchtops. Natural large format neutral tiles, were used for floor and walls in ensuite with brushed nickel tapware and accessories. Floor to ceiling etched glass shower and toilet screens were installed, providing privacy and a subtle feature with an understated back lit mirror above the vanity.
The WIR was custom designed with a central storage and seat area and mirror imaged storage consisting of double hanging, pull out shoe racks, drawers, and glass door display cabinet on either side with underlit LED lighting.
Navy wallpaper was installed behind the multi coloured custom bedhead and bedroom chair, with gold lampshades, cushioning and gold accent pendant adding the final touches.
Motorised ceiling mounted curtains framed the bifold door space leading out to the large balcony with the curtains stacking back into a custom unit which housed the TV and electrical mechanism for the internal lift.
The original open fire place had an electric fireplace installed with the brick surrounds cladded in a leather look finish
