Bar, Cellar, Laundry, Bathroom

About the project

The downstairs rumpus room and laundry were renovated to incorporate a bar, wine cellar, bathroom, laundry and theatre room.

Antique White granite was used for the benchtops and features with in the bar, laundry and bathroom. Perugian walnut cabinetry highlighted the stone and gave a moody feel to the space, as did the block out theatre curtains installed on sliding doors and the roman blind over the window.

The bar included dual bar fridge, ice maker, sink, dishwasher, microwave and ample storage.

The same finishes were used throughout the laundry, bathroom and wine cellar.

The wine cellar was temperature controlled with glass walls on 2 sides to allow it to feature in the space.

ISSUES FACED

Plumbing and internal staircase and lift

SOLUTIONS OFFERED

Laundry space was reduced slightly to enable adequate space for the bathroom and facilitate the plumbing.  The Wine cellar design needed close attention as the staircase and lift could not be moved and the space required venting for the temperature controlled space.
