Interior Design by Jo is headed by Jo Byrom a specialist in interior design and decoration with over 16 years experience in her business and many years prior in the clothing and textile industry.
Jo as one of six children grew up on a farm, where her love for nature, creativity and colour were nurtured and her practical down to earth approach to life began. Jo holds a Bachelor of Applied Science and Interior Design qualifications and as a member of IDA (Interior Design Association) and KBDI (Kitchen Bathroom Designers Institute), offers clients a full range of Interior Design services for a variety of projects and needs, including kitchen and bathroom design, renovation and coordination, new build selections and specifications and styling, colour, curtain, blind and shutter consultations. Sourcing furnishings and supplying custom furniture for your perfect interior finish is another of Jo’s specialisations.
No project is too small, be it a single room makeover through to a large multi residential build, Jo offers the same commitment and hands on practical approach.
Jo Byrom is passionate about good interior design, colour and fabrics and keeping up-to-date with the latest trends and innovations, offering her clients personalised service and functional and aesthetic solutions to fit your space, lifestyle and budget. OUR PROCESS
STEP ONE
Initial On Site Consultation
(Up to 2hrs)
At the initial consultation we will discuss your ideas and expectations including budget and get to understand your lifestyle and the spaces you live in. I will make some suggestions and discuss the design process moving forward.
STEP TWO
Client Brief
The client brief will outline the scope of work, key objectives to be considered and any issues that may impact the project. A fee proposal will be included and upon signed acceptance, work will commence.
STEP THREE
Initial Design & Selection
With the client brief approved we then work on the design concept which outlines the look and feel of the project and our recommendations. These are presented to you either electronically or in person and in consultation with you, we then proceed with the initial design and selections, including colour schemes, fabrics, finishes and fittings relevant to your project.
STEP FOUR
Design Detail & documentation
Designs and selections are presented and discussed and once finalised a detailed specification schedule is completed.
STEP FIVE
Quotation & Approval
Based on the final designs and specifications, quotes are obtained for all items and presented for approval. Depending on the type of project this may include trades other than Interior Design by Jo.
STEP SIX
Purchase, Build, Installation
Interior Design by Jo works with you and any associated trades to ensure the overall delivery of all aspects of the project are on budget, of a high quality and delivered in a timely manner.
